In 2005, an enthusiastic group of board members, who were touched by Outward Bound’s core values, decided to launch Outward Bound Taiwan (OBT) to serve young people in Taiwan. By the end of 2005, they received Provisional Licensing from Outward Bound International and began operations.

Incredible mountains and seas around Taiwan are perfect natural classrooms for OBT. Meanwhile, through a wide variety of adventure and experiential education, ranging from one to twenty days in duration, OBT has been keen on the rebuilding of positive values for young people in Taiwan.

OBT offers courses for children, youths, and adults, as well as professional development programs for corporate groups, which are the classic Outward Bound Courses, and much more.

Since 2006, OBT has created the Overseas Programs which provide Taiwanese people with cross-cultural outdoor challenge adventures hosted with other overseas Outward Bound centers such as Singapore and Hong Kong. OBT hopes to help Taiwanese people become global citizens and love the place which they grow up more and more.
