Sri Lanka

At the Dambulu Oya Outward Bound Center, professionals from companies in Sri Lanka come to test their capacity for leadership and teamwork on courses as long as seven days and as short as 12 hours. "Trainees", as they are called at OBTSL, will acquire the life skills needed to cope in a fast-moving and highly competitive work environment. Outward Bound Training Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Business Development Centre, has trained more than 2,000 executives since 1996.

Concurrently, OBTSL offers programs for youth embracing the natural resources of Sri Lanka - the seaside, estuaries, rivers, lakes, mountains and jungle.

The Outward Bound Center in Sri Lanka offers programs primarily for citizens of Sri Lanka. There are few programs offered to the general public and mostly groups from corporations and schools in Sri Lanka are currently being served. Travel to regions in the North and East of Sri Lanka is currently not recommended for citizens of some countries. See the US State Department for further information. Because of the security situation the biannual Risk Management audits that Outward Bound International conducts of its licensed member centers have not been conducted as since 2004.
