Outward Bound Romania is all about creating and building community. Their programs not only instill local people with self-confidence through standard Outward Bound activities, but also work towards building better communities by offering skills such as conflict resolution, project development, fundraising, and organizational development.

Other courses focus on creating harmony between the multiplicity of ethnic groups and cultures in the region. These courses include education on diplomacy, youth leadership and tolerance. As Outward Bound Romania expands, it continues to serve economically disadvantaged youth, orphans, social workers and educators in the region. It also serves professionals and international clients through cross-cultural courses.

Surrounded by the Carpathian Mountains, Outward Bound Romania enjoys an ideal location for trekking, abseiling, climbing, community projects (ecological, intercultural), expeditions (bike, kayak or cross-country skiing) and orienteering.
