Outward Bound was launched in Mexico with programs in El Manzano near Monterrey in October, 2004. During its first three years of operation Outward Bound Mexico has conducted courses for the following populations: environmentally focused courses for inner city Monterrey public school students; instructor courses geared toward experienced outdoor educators; numerous 4 day programs for leading private schools in Mexico City and Monterrey, aimed at developing teamwork, cohesiveness and a sense of school values for both freshmen (14-15 years) and International Baccalaureate juniors (17-18 years); adjudicated youth participating in a societal reintegration program under the auspices of ReIntegra, a Mexican non-profit organization; a parent/child program; Wilderness First Responder Training. During 2008 we have begun offering corporate programs in conjunction with the University of Monterrey and with the leading provider of youth adventure courses in Mexico. Outward Bound Mexico has also received a substantial "seed money" grant from Cemex S.A..
