Our courses are challenging, exhilarating journeys that take place in Canada's most beautiful wilderness. From the majestic peaks of British Columbia's Coast mountains, to Alberta's Rocky Mountains, to the solitude of Ontario and Quebec's boreal forest, and the extraordinarily high tides of New Brunswick's Bay of Fundy, the wilderness is Outward Bound Canada's classroom.

The lakes, rivers, forests, mountains and oceans provide the challenges. Some of these challenges are physical, as when paddling a sea kayak into the rolling waves, climbing a rugged peak, leading a team of sled dogs, or canoeing white water. Other challenges include developing leadership skills or learning to work effectively as a member of a team.

Outward Bound Canada strives to provide "adventures that last a lifetime" for both youth and adults at any stage of life. Courses include year round school programs, an expeditionary high school semester course, traditional expeditionary courses for youth and adults, life renewal courses, professional development programs, and Community programs for youth, aboriginal people, women survivors of violence and youth at risk. They have a generous bursary program for students burdened by economic hardship.
