Part A: Transport options from Changi Airport Singapore to Punggol Point Jetty (Location where the ferry will take you to the symposium site at Outward Bound Singapore)

BUS

If you intend to take the public bus service, you will need two bus service numbers to get to Punggol Point Jetty.

The first bus Service No. 34 can be taken at the ground floors of Terminals 1, 2 or 3. You will need to transfer onto Service No. 84 at Punggol Bus Interchange to bring you to the jetty where the ferry pick up is.

Alight from No. 34 at Punggol Bus Interchange and transfer to No. 84 at the interchange. You would be able to seek assistance from the bus captains when you board the services.

Taxi

Taxi services are readily available at the airport arrival terminals. Journey may take 30 to 40 minutes, depending on road traffic conditions. There is a surcharge for trips starting from the airport and estimated fare from the airport to Punggol Point Jetty is SGD17.00 to 25.00, depending on surcharges levied.

    e.g. If the ferry trip starts from OBS to PPJ at 10.00am, the return trip from PPJ to OBS shall be 10.07am.

PART C: Local currency (Singapore Dollars)

You are advised to obtain local currency prior to your arrival at the symposium site (approximately SGD150 to 200). Changi Airport Singapore has currency exchange services and ATMs conveniently located in the terminals. There is no banking or currency exchange services on Pulau Ubin (the symposium site). Some possible cash expenditures are:

  1. Transfer from and to the airport. Some taxi services do accept credit card payments (administrative charges will apply).
  2. For souvenir purchases when in Outward Bound Singapore, Pulau Ubin.
  3. For afterhours snack purchases when in Outward Bound Singapore, Pulau Ubin.
  4. For night programme on Day 2 of symposium. Activities will be organised for participation (sign-up basis) at your own cost.
